Community Classes

When we practice kindness to ourselves, this in turn reflects onto the people around us. Through Yoga and it’s related practices, we can cultivate a sense of connection and community, which is essential for our well-being. This helps us to live more compassionate and inspired lives.

Children & Family Yoga

I am a qualified Children’s Yoga Teacher, specialising in creatively empowering children ages 2-12 (and their families) in school, community and social settings. Classes are designed to be fun - an explorative journey of the body and mind, yet accessible and inspiring for all participants.

Benefits of Children’s Yoga Sessions:

  • Support each child's awareness and physical development using the power of movement and Yoga

  • Enhance mental wellbeing and personal growth using mindfulness techniques

  • Provide a safe space for each individual to express themselves creatively through movement, music, song and yoga

  • Enhance self-confidence by acknowledging and supporting their individuality as their superpower

  • Bring forth opportunities for participants to explore personal and external connections from a place of kindness and mindfulness

  • Create balance in the mind, propelling them towards a more mindful future

I can create bespoke sessions, courses and classes based on themes, topics and areas of learning, as well as integrating these practices into school curriculums or seasonal events. Each class will then be tailored to the needs of the group. Classes can be tailored to in-person or online.

For the past two years, I’ve been working with Central Bedfordshire Council, delivering Zoom Yoga & Mindfulness sessions to Social Care Centres, plus anyone else who wants it, across the county.

It’s not about being able bodied, being able to make shapes or move in a certain way, it’s about the connection. Connecting to yourself to feel alive, not just living. Through breath, movement patterns, laughter and challenging cognitive patterns, we are able to enjoy being together and enjoy feeling good.

I’ve first hand seen how devastating loneliness and lack of connection can be, and I’m extremely passionate about mindfulness and yoga’s power to minimise and eradicate the effects. If you are interested in this kind of work, let me know.
